Herts Fencing runs competitions for all three weapons and youth foil competitions for five age categories. There are also competitions available for foilists of less than two years experience.
These competitions are open to anyone who lives in the county or fences at an affiliated club in Herts, provided they have appropriate B.F.A. membership.
Several clubs within the county take part in the Three Counties league, which involves clubs from Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
As a county within Eastern Region, fencers in the county are also elligable to participate in the Regional competitions organised by the Eastern Region committee.
Fencers with full B.F.A. membership are also able to compete in Open Competitions throughout the United Kingdom.
