Dieppe Youth Fencing Competion 2006
It is confirmed that the Sixth Dieppe Youth Fencing competition will take place on weekend of the 7th May 2006, and consist of events in five categories - Épée for U13 and U15 age groups and Foil for U11, U13 and U15 age groups.
On the Saturday 6th May, Dieppe Fencing Club will be celebrating their 20th anniversary - an exhibition épée match is planned along with an artistic fencing demonstration. Maureen Nissima of the French national épée team will also be present.
The British entry for the competition will be limited to approximately 60 foilists and 20 épéeists. Priority for places will be given to fencers from Hertfordshire. British Entry will open in January and close at the end of April.
Accommodation should be available if required for competitiors and parents at Herbergement Les Roches in Dieppe on the Saturday night. Dieppe town council are prepared to provide this accommodation rate of approximately 13€50/£8 per person.
Competition entries will cost 8€ to be paid on the day.
In order to facilitate the smooth running of this competition, it is requested that groups of five or more fencers should offer to provide a referee if possible. Referees will be provided with light refreshments.

The organisers of the Challenge International de Dieppe have exchanged information with the organisers of several similar sized youth competitions in other countries, in an attempt to facilitate entries to each from abroad.
